Junior Software Developer // Mana Products (2 positions)

Job Description – Junior Software Developer

The Junior Software Developer is part of an agile development team building and working on enterprise grade software systems on top of the Microsoft .NET development stack and Oracle’s JD Edward EnterpriseOne. The Junior Software Developer is involved in all areas of development from design to development to testing.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Manager of Software Development. The duties and responsibilities of the Software Developer include:
  • Working with an agile team to develop, test, and maintain web workflow-based business applications built on Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Assisting in the collection and documentation of user's requirements, development of user stories, and estimates.
  • Preparing reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software.
  • Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards.
  • Participating in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code.
  • Package and support deployment of releases.
  • Developing, refining, and tuning integrations between applications.
  • Analyzing and resolving technical and application problems.
  • Adhering to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on-time and on-budget.
  • Providing third-level support to business users.

Desired Skills & Experience

Minimum Requirements

  • College or University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • One year minimum of working experience

  • Core Competency Requirements
  • Solid understanding of object oriented programming concepts
  • Solid understanding of relational database design and querying concepts
  • Familiarity with version control concepts

Preferred Competency Requirements

  • Exposure to Microsoft .NET development using SharePoint

Tax Senior Accountant / EisnerAmper in Iselin, NJ

Job Description Required Skills

The Tax Senior Accountant is responsible for tax return preparation and review; close interaction with clients providing compliance, consulting and planning; and assistance in client management and practice development activities.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare Federal and State Individual, Corporate tax returns (S-Corp, C-Corp, LLC's) and FAS 109 calculations.
  • Coordinate with Client Accounting and Tax departments
  • Gather data and reconcile to financial statements
  • Develop tax package data requests, instruct staff on tax adjustments and implementation of tax application systems.
  • Review tax returns for accuracy, minimization of tax liability, available tax credits, and tax provision.
  • Respond to client inquires, Internal Revenue Service, State and Local tax notices.
  • Research tax questions and issues

Desired Skills & Experience

  • BS in Accounting; CPA or CPA candidate
  • 2-5 years of recent public accounting experience
  • Strong client service and communication skills
  • Excel; Word; RIA; CCH; BNA (research, projections); CCH Prosystems fx tax software a plus

Electrical Engineer with Commercial Lighting Background // U.L. Wholesale Lighting Fixtures Corp (2 positions)

Company Information

Lighting Manufacturing Company located in Astoria, NY servicing the needs of electrical distributors since 1997 looking for experienced Electrical Engineer with Commercial Lighting background.

Job Description

The Candidate would possess the ability to read blue prints and lighting fixture plans in order to develop a design for manufactures.  In addition, the individual will have enough expertise to handle complex projects from innovative concepts through successful product completion.  Must have experience submitting commercial lighting fixtures that meet specifications for laboratory approvals.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Utilize Auto Desk Inventor to draft drawings as necessary
  • Interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, and /or formulas for management and production
  • Strong understanding of basic electrical components such as relays, drivers, ballasts, etc...
  • Experience submitting commercial Lighting Fixtures for laboratory approvals. (ETL, UL Listed, DLC, etc.)
  • Knowledge surrounding electrical schematics, blue prints, and gathering client requirements
  • Ability to adjust priorities as changes occur.  Must be organized and present ideas and concepts
  • Must be willing to perform field energy and lighting analyses

Desired Skills & Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering A Must and / or Associates with 5 Years Experience
  • AutoCAD experience, Autodesk Inventor, Understanding of CAD drafting methods / techniques a plus!
  • Knowledge in photo metrics, lighting layout design software
  • Knowledge of power electronic concepts, switch mode power supply theory of operation, resonant systems, and control systems
  • Detail oriented possess strong organizational and communicational skills (written/verbal)
  • Strong interpersonal skills, open to change, and works well in a team environment.
  • Understanding of lighting control systems and how different components interact with each other
  • Experience with Autodesk (Inventor) a must!
  • Experience with Adobe Design Software (Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop) a plus!
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook) a plus!

Architect // Method Design

Job Description

The position is for a junior architect/architectural designer.  Minimum first professional architecture degree and at least (3) years’ experience.  The applicant will be performing the role of junior project manager and staff designer in an office of 10 architects working on a variety of project types and scales from New York City retail, apartment and commercial projects, to projects situated regionally in the Northeast such as ground up single and multi-family housing, and large institutional and civic work.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Utilize design thinking to produce coherent and bold design work in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary design environment
  • Manage small to mid-range projects with oversight by a partner that require engagement with a client, consultant team, and builder in the execution of the work
  • Produce design and legal (filing) documentation

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of first architectural professional degree
  • Minimum (3) years’ experience in an architectural design setting
  • Very proficient in sketching, physical modeling and other basic methods of design representation
  • Very proficient in Adobe Suite
  • Very proficient in 3D modeling (Rhino 5)
  • Very proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Proficient in 2D drafting such as Autocad or Microstation
  • Basic exposure to BIM systems, such as Revit
